You are too kind. It was sheer chance that this interview happen. Heck it was just by chance that I found out about the whole fandom in the first palce. If my actions help in mending what has been done then consider it my giving back to the fandom that has given me so much.

This is true. It's going to take a lot of work to build, maintain, and repair the image of the fandom. What we need is more press like this, and more level headed people staying in the fandom to keep the ones dragging it down from doing what ever they want. We need to take a stand but not come off as elitist jerks.

First off the female skunk picture is an artistic tasteful nude. Secondly the reporter was the one who suggested the use of that painting. For the record I had a mother and two Children walk in to the gallery where I was painting the skunk and the mother had No objections to letting her children view it as I was working. In fact she thought I was doing some good work. The only person to think that it was softcore is you. You read into the image as being of a pornographic nature instead of the alluring tasteful nude it was painted as. So in short get your mind out of the gutter.

I am thinking out side myself. That painting was hung in a PUBLIC gallery, and was part of the show there for several months. Had that painting been other than tasteful nude than it would not have been allowed into the gallery in the first place, all those who viewed the piece opening night and throughout the rest of the show also saw it as it was intended. So drop it. You want to jump on a soap box and preach do it in your personal journal not here in the comments.

Well the contingent in the Okanagan valley is growing considerably. All the way from Oliver, on up to Kamloops. Kelowna especially has a growing population of furs.

Thank you. The gallery owner where the interview was done wouldn't allow any bad press to come from this and I had a back up plan in the event the reporter was fishing for something other than focusing on me and my art.

Very nice piece! I for one applaud the inclusion of a tasteful nude, because it's no use out and out lying to the general public as if they can't research for themselves. If we can't even expect them to handle something as tame and harmless as a bit of nudity, there's no hope of furrydom gaining acceptance. But that's the great thing. Many people can accept it and even find it interesting as part of the larger whole.

I enjoy your take of furry as a combination of fantasy, reality and the grey area in between too. I think that's a wonderful way to look at it.

i live in the USA, Illinois to be exact ^^ my local airport offers flight training but only within their flight club, which costs like 1000 dollars to join O.O so needless to say i cant afford that!

WTF man. How's anyone suppose to get training with a stupid set up like that? It's like they're trying to say only the rich may fly.

exactly! >.< its terrible! though the hourly rates are cheaper than a regular airport once you join, but good god your basically paying for a quarter of your flight training just with the 1000 bucks! i dont know, flying does seem like a rich man's sport out here >.< which sucks cuz my family is dirt poor

yeah, thats what i plan to do after i get all my general ed classes out of the way, i'll transfer to a college that offers an aviation major, and they can train me there cuz i plan to fly as a career (maybe not huge turbine aircraft but maybe smaller cargo operations, something along those lines). yeah, just have to wait i guess ^^

Personally I want to be able to fly anything with a prop. single engine to those big four engine electras. Hell I want to get my hands on a convair with it's orginal engines and turn it into my flying home away from home.

yes bush flying would be a DREAM job in aviation for me =D though Australia would be better cuz its warmer, but i'll he happy either way

yeah, prop aircraft symbolize the romantic nature of flight for me XD even big and loud Electras something about jet aircraft kinda removes the feel of flying for me, though i still enjoy it ^^

Two I know pretty well one I met by chance at a furmeet on the coast the other I don't remember how I met him. The rest I know of sort of. Haven't met or spoke with the rest of the vernon group. But I know there's a fair number there.
